About you:
- Allied Health Qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology or Social Work
- Associate or Full membership with ASORC, AHPRA or AASW.
- If Psychology qualified full or provisional registration with AHPRA is essential supervision support will be provided for provisional psychologists.
- Full driver's license and vehicle
- An understanding of worker's compensation, rehabilitation and occupational health and safety legislation
- Strong desire to learn and progress
- Excellent time management
- 6 months expereince in a clinical or injury management setting is desirable but not essential.
You will be responsible for managing a realistic caseload of injured workers by providing support and guidance, to ultimately help them get back to work or back to the community. Day to day tasks include:
- Motivating, challenging and counselling clients to ensure the best outcome is achieved.
- Evaluating and determining barriers affecting their employment opportunities.
- Psychological, Vocational assessments and EAP Counselling.
- Report writing.
- Devising and implementing RTW plans to support the injured worker.
- Liaising with various key stakeholders (including insurers and other allied health professionals).
- Attending medical case conferences.
- Manageable diverse caseloads across different insurance schemes including Workers Comp, CTP, Life, Comcare, NDIS, and ADF.
