Opal Aged Care is one of the leading residential aged care providers in Australia. With more than 70 homes in four states, we employ over 7,000 staff to provide specialist residential aged care services including dementia and respite care, to over 6,000 residents.

About the role

You will provide hands on leadership driving business development and community relationship programs with the objective to achieve occupancy and RAD targets in your allocated homes.  At present the role reports to the Head of Commercial and will require some travel within the state of Victoria.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support market plans for your homes including action plans for homes with occupancy issues and ramp-up programs for new homes/wings.
  • Develop and implement a sales program for each home including programs to increase the penetration of additional services.  
  • Increase referral pipelines and improve sales conversion rates.
  • Implement training programs for key staff, identify and resolve any obstacles in the sales process.
What we can expect from you?
  • 5 years + sales experience including a successful track record in a territory sales role.
  • Healthcare industry experience ideally including exposure to aged care fees and funding.  Hospitality industry experience would also be well regarded.
  • The ability to develop and deliver training and to coach and develop others.
  • A highly organised self-starter with strong time management skills.
  • A results oriented individual with excellent communication & inter-personal skills.
  • A tertiary degree in a health or business related field would be highly regarded.
  • A current open drivers license with a good driving record.
There is some flexiblilty on the primary location of the position.
