A permanent Centre Manager position located in Darwin which operates a number of residential programs.

Your new organisation
This well-known charitable organisation are seeking an experienced Centre Manager to join one of their centres on a permanent basis. This centre operates a number of residential programs to address the issues of homelessness, alcoholism and drug addiction.

Your new role
As the Centre Manager, reporting to the Regional Leader, you’ll lead a team of specialist staff in the development of strategic and evidence based service deliveries and service improvements. You will collaborate with the team leaders to ensure the centre is ran efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities will include the following, amongst other duties:

  • Provide leadership in innovation and best practice that establishes out services as a leader in the sector.
  • Review and improve systems and structures to enable effective supervision and performance management.
  • Effective and efficient financial and operational processes and procedures are established and implemented including internal controls to ensure the integrity of these processes and accountability for decisions and actions.
  • Staff management which includes various team leaders, case managers, care workers and general staff.
  • Fleet, property, assets and IT services ate managed effectively to enable service delivery.
  • Monitor organisational WHS performance and ensure strategies are in place to optimise performance.
  • Foster an organisational culture of learning and development.
  • Be on call when required.


What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you’ll have a Diploma qualification or higher within a related field such as AOD or mental health as well as relevant experience in a social service environment. Ideally you will have a Diploma qualification or higher within business management of have relevant business management experience. Additionally you’ll have, or will be willing to obtain a Police Check and OCHRE card.
