Quality Health Care (QHC) is a leading provider of Accommodation, Community and Clinical Services in Sydney.

We are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and experienced Behaviour Support Clinician to join our Clinical Services team.

The successful applicant will provide Positive Behaviour Support to people with disabilities, mental health and/ or behavioural support needs. You will be supporting our clients and our staff teams by providing a complex trauma based clinical support framework in which our residents (where possible) will be able to develop the skills necessary for independent living.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual, one in which you will get to work as part of our management and multidisciplinary teams and develop professionally in specialty areas.

 

Essential Criteria include

  • Solid experience as a Behaviour Support Clinician, including assessing, developing and implementing Behaviour Management Plans.
  • Experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders and behaviours of concern.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of the Clinical Services team.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
  • Providing effective support to QHC accommodation teams in accordance with the relevant legislation, Disability Service Standards, Service Description Schedules, Organisation Policy, Procedures and Protocols.

  • Current, unrestricted Class C NSW drivers licence.

Preferable Exposure (not necessary):

  • An Allied Health Profession including Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and/or Speech Therapist, registered with relevant bodies (e.g. AHPRA).

 

Note: Successful registered Allied Health applicants may have opportunities to practice their profession within this role.
