  • Full-time, permanent role, based at our head office in East Melbourne (opposite the MCG)
  • $83,057 per annum plus 13.5% superannuation
 
The position
 
Due to an internal promotion we have a great opportunity for a talented Project Coordinator to lead a range of projects that aim to have a positive impact on the quality of healthcare across Australia. Working closely with our Expert Committee for Quality Care, you will help us champion and facilitate high standard general practice and position general practice to make a substantial contribution to the emerging quality initiatives within the Australian health system.  
 
 
Some of your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Working with the Expert Committee and its sub committees to develop evidence-based guidelines, resources and policy in areas such as preventive care, health inequalities, chronic disease, family violence, aged care and mental health
  • Leading a range of projects end-to-end including, project initiation, planning, scope, assessing risks and dependencies, stakeholder management as well as launch and implementation
  • Undertaking research and preparing briefings, discussion papers and submissions
  • Supporting the management of external stakeholder relationships and working across other Departments internally to develop whole of organisation business solutions
 
 
The candidate
 
As an adaptable and seasoned project management professional you will have the ability to prepare a range of briefings and discussion papers articulating issues in a transparent format. To be successful in this role you will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Highly developed skills to research complex issues and analyse emergent health related issues
  • Experience managing and driving a number of projects to completion with the ability to deliver project aims and mitigate risks
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Familiarisation with relevant computer programs and systems, particularly across the Microsoft Office Suite
