Using advanced whole genome sequencing technologies, Microba empowers individuals to gain a deeper understanding of their personal microbiome through profiling of the bacteria, archaea, fungi, and protists in their gut at the species level. Microba provides services to individuals, healthcare professionals and researchers to deliver a leading microbiome profiling products, and to create life changing healthcare products.
About the role
To drive our mission of providing actionable insight into an individuals microbiome to improve their health and wellness the Microba Insight Report offers in depth and scientifically valid information on the microorganisms found within an individuals gut and the functional potential of their microbiome.
The telephone based Microbiome Coach service compliments the online Microba Insight report by:
- helping clients understand their Microba Insight report.
- answering client questions about their Microba Insight report.
- providing clients with a positive experience in which they feel heard and understood.
- supporting clients to identify what further action they may take e.g. consulting a Microba Informed Practitioner.
We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals with a strong knowledge of nutrition and/ or medicine to provide Microbiome Coach services.
Positions will be offered on a casual basis with the opportunity for part time and family friendly work hours.
The position will be based in Brisbane CBD and remote working is not a possibility.
Full training on the Microba Insight Report and underlying scientific basis will be provided.
About you
- Eligible for Accredited Practising Dietitian status or other relevant medical experience.
- A passion for personalised nutrition, microbiome and/ or gut health.
- Ability to read and interpret scientific literature.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong time management skills to ensure appointments run on time while ensuring a positive client experience.
- Experience with telephone consultation or telehealth would be well regarded.
