Western Diagnostic Pathology (WDP) provides diagnostic pathology services to more than two million patients throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory each year. We have 10 medical laboratories across the region, more than 200 collection sites, and a team of nearly 900 people who are dedicated to providing quality care to patients, and accurate and timely results to medical practitioners. We are currently seeking a part time Pathology Collector to join our Karratha team. This role is responsible for collection of blood and specimens from patients in an accurate, professional and timely manner. This role is Monday to Friday with a requirement to work every second Saturday with a day off in the week in that week.
To be successful in this role your background will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in phlebotomy in a fast paced environment
- Previous demonstrated experience delivering an exceptional patient experience
- Ability to work within a team
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to interpret medical or clinical information
It will be considered highly advantageous for applicants to hold the following qualifications or skills:
- Certificate III in Pathology Collection
- UDS competent with certificate
- CASA Approved certificate
- Previous supervisory experience
