Aveo, Australia's leading retirement owner/operator is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and pro-active Personal Care Attendant to join our team at Aveo Mountain View, Murwillumbah, NSW.
About the role:
The Personal Care Attendant will be required to assist the Retirement Living Community Manager in the provision of quality care services to residents within the community including emergency call-outs in the community in a professional efficient manner and demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of residents. You will be responsible for assessing each resident's needs, interests and abilities and consult with them or their carers/relatives to provide an individualised recreational plan.
You will ensure resident's safety, security, dignity, privacy and well-being at all times, actively contribute to the promotion of best practice in OH &S and continuous quality improvement, and promote the culture and philosophies of Aveo Retirement Living.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate 3 in Aged/Community Care
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Police Check clearance or willing to obtain
- Experience working in Retirement Village desirable
- Well developed interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work alone
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Good oral and written communication and comprehension skills
- Ability to work within a multi-tasking, multi-skilled work environment
- Trustworthy, pleasant and outgoing demeanour
- Reliable, flexible approach to rostering
