This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the largest private psychiatric hospital in Australia. The Melbourne Clinic, Richmond, Victoria is currently seeking Registered /Enrolled Nurse’s with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care. The successful applicant will work within the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities / Criteria
- Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health / Drug & Alcohol & Rehabilitation Program (or working towards) preferred
- Previous working experience in Mental Health
- Delivery of a range of therapeutic services to patients in the program
- Assessment, formulation and treatment planning
- Provision of evidence based nursing care for the treatment of patients with mental illness.
- Participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of client management plans and the overall program
- Provision of profession-specific consultation and advice to other members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Liaison with families, the community and other service providers as appropriate
- Contribute to the quality improvement processes on the unit
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Works well independenly and within a tem
- Fully registered with AHPRA
The Melbourne Clinic offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient programs that are tailored to meet the needs of people with a range of mental health conditions.
Programs include The Living Well Program- general inpatients, the Professorial Mood Disorders Unit (associated with The University of Melbourne), Older Persons’ Psychiatry, Eating Disorders Unit, Drug and Alcohol Detoxification and Rehabilitation and the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit. A Community Outreach Program and a wide range of Day Programs are also available to support people in the community.
