About the Role…

Become a member of the Burnside Hospital team and you will have the opportunity to work within our pre-admissions team and contribute to the hospital achieving our mission of providing safe, contemporary care for every patient, every time in current well-equipped facilities.

As our Admission Assistant, you will support our patients through processing patient admissions, pre-admission appointments , formulation of theatre lists and ensuring patient needs are identified and addressed prior to admission.

Essential skills & competencies:

  • Holds or is working towards gaining a formal qualification in Medical Terminology
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with patients in a professional and confident manner
  • Proficiency in the use of a computerised patient information management system, or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills
  • Willingness to embrace and demonstrate the values of the organisation
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work with a willingness to learn
