Position Summary

Are you looking for a challenging pharmacy technician job in a large busy public acute hospital? Our Pharmacy Department at Frankston Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our highly effective and motivated team of Pharmacists and Technicians. The position is permanent full time (40 hrs pw + ADO), with occasional weekends and public holiday duties.

The successful applicant will provide high quality pharmacy technician support to our Pharmacists and will be mainly based in Frankston Hospital.

Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and hospital experience would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and replenishment of ward imprests,
• Ordering/processing requisitions
• Stock management
• Dispensing under supervision
• Ward technician tasks

Essential Criteria

• The successful applicant should preferably have completed or is currently completing an approved Certificate III Hospital Pharmacy Technician course.
• A positive team attitude
• Demonstrated general clerical skills
• Good communication skills
• Commitment to customer service
• Organised and efficient work skills
• Meticulous attention to detail.
