Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Cardiac Technologist with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to be able to Tuesday and Wednesday’s 0830-1700.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia .
  • Qualified Sonographer who has attained a Post Graduate Degree in Sonography (or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent) and performs Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiological Studies (EPS).
  • Demonstrated experience in performing ECG and stress ECG.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide the highest quality imaging and patient care.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills [written, verbal, telephone] with a clear ability to project a positive image, and effectively liaise and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonsrated maturity, flexibility, discretion and judgement, and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of issues within the Department.
  • Experience in high level organisational skills with ability to work both independently and as a team member ensuring that work is prioritised to effectively meet deadlines/ timeframes where attention to detail is essential.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the principles of EEO, WH&S, cultural diversity and ethical practice.
