You will be based in the emergency department and will be the first point of contact for any mental health presentations. Your role will involve face to face assessments as well as video links. Being the base hospital you will need to outreach to some of the more rural and remote towns in the local health district via video set up.
The nurse must have the following skills/experience:
- Triage Mental Health Experience
- to be able to carry out mental health assessments to a high standard
- ED experience
- Work independently
All nursing staff put forward for our consideration must have:
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Recent experience working in Mental Health ideally in the community
- Current National Criminal Record Check
- Current WWCC or willing to obtain
- 3 years clinical experience post registration
