The Company
Our client is one of the regions premiere Aged Care providers with an outstanding reputation for excellent care and commitment to employees for over 40 years. Over the next five years their focus is upon expansion and growth while maintaining and where possible exceeding their already high levels of care and service. Currently, they are looking for a new Director of Nursing for one of their fully accredited facilities. This facility comprises of approximately 60 beds with varying types of care being offered. Located in a quiet and well appointed neighbourhood close to both nature and the amenities.
The Opportunity
You will have full responsibility for the overall facility operations, plus ensure occupancy remains at the appropriate and optimal level to provide for resident and family needs. You will be a bright and energetic leader and mentor with a high level of professional commitment, integrity and honesty.
You
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent knowledge and experience in aged care
- Staff management skills including recruitment, performance management and rostering
- A willingness to learn and hit the ground running
- Commitment to quality and a broad knowledge of all facets of aged care including ACFI funding and Accreditation
- Proficient computer skills
- Utmost respect, empathy and a passion for aged care
- A nursing degree (and AHPRA registration) will be preferred but not compulsory
