Southern Star Research is a leading Australian, privately owned, CRO based in Sydney. We specialise in providing clinical research services to a range of clients across the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology markets in Australia and New Zealand.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we’re looking for a talented Business Development Associate our team. This is a Sydney based role that will support the broader Corporate Development team but if you’re interested in joining an innovative, exciting, Australian owned CRO, we’d love to talk to you.
Reporting to the Corporate Development Director, you’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting in the development of promotional and sales collateral for clients and stakeholders;
- Identifying market trends, potential customers and assisting in the generation of marketing plans and strategies;
- Organizing various events and promotions which may include preparing collateral, booking meetings and conducting market research;
- Technology – you’ll manage the administration associated with technology platforms utilised by the team as well as manage various social media channels.
To be successful in the role, we’re looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience in customer service or sales support roles. The intention of this position is to develop the successful candidate into a broader role once they’ve gained experience and exposure within the clinical research market but the role will not be client facing initially. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a scientific environment but more experience applicants are welcome to submit their resume and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We’d also consider applicants with a clinical research background who are not interested in pursuing a CRA or Data Management type of role.
