Regional Services Officers

Full time, fixed term positions to 30 June 2021,

(subject to funding).

 

We are currently seeking Regional Services Officers in a full time and part time capacity, located in our Traralgon, Bairnsdale and Wonthaggi offices. These positions will ensure the delivery of outcomes for commissioned services and/or projects within a designated subregion. A key aspect of the role will be enabling a place based approach to improving health outcomes for a subregion, providing a high level of project and contract management, monitoring and evaluation skills across a broad range of providers including primary health, community health, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, mental health, alcohol and other drugs and other clinical areas as appropriate.

Regional Services Officers will work within a multidisciplinary team providing support, monitoring and delivery of programs. Regional Services Officers will be expected to take on a specialist role in relation to a number of core activities and will act as a specialist resource support person to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Our ideal applicants will have:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in a directly related or relevant field;
  • Thorough understanding of the political drivers influencing the Primary Health model over the coming 3 years;
  • Financial literacy and budgeting skills;
  • Project planning, research and evaluation skills;
  • Proven experience in working and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to influence positive outcomes in line with Gippsland PHN organisational strategic direction;
  • A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision;
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to prepare high quality written material and to make oral presentations that meet the needs of a wide range of audiences in compelling ways including negotiation and facilitation;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills; and
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commissioned services and skills in issues management, including an ability to manage complexity and diversity across stakeholders, programs, projects, priorities and demands.
