This part-time role involves assisting the ophthalmologist in all aspects of patient care. You will be an integral member of our friendly and dedicated team. This is a general ophthalmology practice, specialising in glaucoma.
The successful applicant will have:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a caring professional manner.
- Skills and efficiency in performing orthoptic tasks including history-taking, visual acuity, intraocular pressure measurement, visual fields, OCTs, biometry, retinal imaging and pentacam scans.
- Ability and willingness to assist with secretarial duties, patient billing and surgical bookings when required.
- Ability to assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the practice, including ordering ophthalmic supplies and preparing operating theatre lists.
