We are currently seeking a motivated and team orientated Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse to join the team at our Canberra Diagnostic Imaging practice based at the National Capital Private Hospital.

The position will require you to be available five days per week, either full time or part time.

As a Nurse in our Radiology department, you will be expected to provide support during a range of interventional procedures such as PICC insertions and CT guided biopsy, supervise stress testing in nuclear medicine, facilitate handover of critical patients and assist with the preparation of patients prior to imaging.

Healthcare Imaging Services (HIS) currently operates over 140 imaging centres in Australia, performing more than 2.2 million examinations annually. HIS provides a full variety of imaging centres including public hospitals, private hospitals and community based centres and employs over 2,000 technical, nursing and administrative staff.

Working within local communities, we provide a wide range of services including X-ray, ultrasound, multi-slice CT, nuclear medicine, MRI, interventional radiology, mammography, women's health, cardiac, neurology, vascular and musculoskeletal imaging.

Essential Criteria:

AHPRA Registration
Advanced life support trained
Ability to read electrocardiogram (ECGS)
Demonstrate ability in providing patient care and customer service delivery standards
Previous Radiology experience and skills in IV cannulation would be advantageous. On-site training will be provided for all procedures.

In addition, highly developed communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
