The Position
St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Sterilisation Services Manager to lead our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of the department, achieving best practice outcomes for both consumers and the business and supporting a high functioning team.
If you have significant experience in a similar sterilisation positon, including Endoscopy and Orthopaedic Loans, possession of a Sterilisation Services Certificate III and high-level communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
This position will be offered on a permanent, full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Approved certificate III in sterilisation Services.
- Recent relevant leadership/management experience in a SSD and/or working towards Certificate IV in Management.
- Experience in commissioning new SSD equipment.
- High level of knowledge and application of current sterilisation technology, relevant Australian Standards 4187 and Infection Control guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation and mediation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated skills and understanding of financial management, daily productivity work hours, budget including ordering and purchasing in Oracle application.
- Demonstrated understanding of WHS audits and quality standards.
- Knowledge of loan/consignment and equipment ordering and checking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including computer skills.
