Community Speech Pathologist Employment Type: Temporary Part Time - until the 30 June 2020 Position Classification: Speech Pathologist Level 1 Remuneration: $30.85 - $36.32 Hours Per Week: 16 hours Requisition ID: REQ54497 The position is a part time temporay appointment within a dynamic and exciting team at Royal North Shore Hospital, in the Community Allied Health Team. What you'll be doing The position provides Speech Pathology services to consumers with complex care needs living in the community. The position is responsible for planning & implementation of appropriate Speech Pathology intervention to community consumers - to facilitate optimum function. The Community Allied Health Team is committed to providing appropriate assessment and interventions, assisting the service to provide a timely access to services. The acuity and complexity in community care provides a challenging and exciting workload. Professional Development and continued learning opportunities are strongly encouraged and supported within the Community Allied Health Team and Speech Pathology Department at RNS. Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them. Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems. Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities. Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Speech Pathology service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and care planning. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required). Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks. Need more information?
