An excellent permanent, part time, job share opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse to work across our sites in Burnie. Core hours will include: 2/3 days per week - Shifts between the hours of 08.30 -17.00 - Monday to Friday.  Medical Imaging experience preferred but not essential.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be assisting the radiologist and technical staff in a wide range of procedures, with patient care and safety being the primary focus.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Preparing patients for interventional procedures and other exams/tests as required, ensuring adequate explanation and provision of information – both prior to the appointment and on the day of the appointment
  • Managing nursing equipment in the clinic/department, including conducting regular checks of resuscitation equipment, oxygen and the emergency trolley
  • Work collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administration staff, following directions and requests for support as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Nursing 
  • Current relevant Practising certificate and professional registration
  • Drivers licence is essential as travel is required
