About the Role
To provide clinical expertise, education and consultancy to patients (their carer(s) and families) within the Emergency Departments of Logan and Redlands Hospitals, specifically focused on the provision of specialist alcohol and other drug (AOD) brief interventions to facilitate a patient centred journey.
- Provide an expert patient-centred consultancy practice participating in direct and indirect patient care, particularly focused within the Logan and Redlands Hospital Emergency Department; encouraging active participation from patients and all stakeholders.
- The CNCs primary responsibilities will be for their core specialist patients within the Emergency Department and in addition they may support other AOD Consultation and Liaison needs within the Hospital.
- Responsible and accountable for own clinical and professional decisions. Participates in the development and achievement of Addiction Services ACU goals through effective use of all resources, and a thorough understanding of the Strategic Plan.
