About Everyday Independence

For over 20 years, Everyday Independence has supported people of all ages living with a disability to improve their independence in everyday life.  We work in interdisciplinary teams to deliver assessment and therapy programs that focus on developing a person's abilities and supporting them to fulfil their potential.  We assist people and families to evaluate what is currently working and not working to help achieve highly personalised meaningful outcomes.

Everyday Independence is innovative and expanding.  We now have over 100 team members, working in 8 teams across NSW and Victoria.  Because of our teams and their great work we have a high demand for our services and need more like-minded Speech Pathologists to join our team.

You will:

·       work with people and their families in their natural environments. This means a person's home, school and other community environments. 

·       support people and families living with disability to achieve high impact and positive outcomes that will give their life meaning and purpose. 

·       work in an interdisciplinary team that has an average 10 team members.  You will have a team leader, a coach and administration support.

·       lead, coach and mentor early career therapists (experience dependent).  

·       deliver a team approach empowering the person to drive and achieve their goals.

·       work with therapists from other organisations.  After all, the person chooses their team not us!

·       use a strength-based and capacity building approach, embed therapy into routines and deliver a service that demonstrates inclusive participatory practice.

·       work with children, adults or both depending on your experience and/or preference.  We will support you in extending your area of interest because we know that passionate therapists drive strong outcomes.

·       be expected to engage in ongoing professional development and you can expect that you will be supported to do so.
