Your Role:

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Dietitian with a passion for patient centred care to join our Allied Health Team at St Andrews War Memorial Hospital.

 

Reporting to the Head of Nutrition, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of Clinical Practice, Leadership, Clinical Governance and Workload Management is achieved through:

  • Providing a high level of Medical Nutrition Therapy  across multiple clinical areas,  Providing clinical practice development and training opportunities to less experienced Allied Health staff, assistants and students;
  • Contributing to service delivery, quality improvement  projects and systems for the Allied Health services provided to patients and their families;
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of Allied Health services ;
  • Managing a busy and varied clinical caseload ensuring excellence in the provision of services;

We are offering the opportunity for either a fixed full time or part time position for a maximum 52 weeks with a base roster of 60 hours per fortnight working Monday to Friday.

 

Your Background:

 

You’ll demonstrate a commitment to person-centred care through exceptional communication, customer service skills and an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. You’ll present with:

  • A Tertiary Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution;
  • Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with the Dietitians Association of Australia;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of clinical reasoning and decision making that is based on current best practice;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and application of Nutrition Care Process Terminology; and
  • A minimum of 3+ years post graduate experience with a high level of clinical knowledge, expertise and skills in a comparable (acute hospital and/or ambulatory service) setting is preferable;

As a Dietitian, we offer $47.62 - $51.42 p/hour + Super commensurate with your experience. As a not-for-profit hospital, we also offer access to competitive salary-packaging options. Discounted parking is also available on site.
