ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy Department and an expanding public health service that is committed to ensuring high quality, evidence-based, person-centred, safe and effective patient care. This is a new position and will be integral for allied health, along with medicine and nursing, in assisting in the establishment of sustainable contemporary systems and services across our expanding acute inpatient services.
- Grade 2 Occupational Therapist
- Permanent full time 40 hours per week (part time may be considered)
- Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital - Acute medical/surgical occupational therapy stream
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary teams across acute services
- Strong emphasis on actively contributing to the acute Occupational Therapy service and AH team.
ABOUT YOU:
- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy and current full occupational therapy registration with AHPRA
- Strong, clinical skills and experience relevant for acute occupational therapy
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and supervision capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills and practices with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong working knowledge of current evidence based practices and a commitment to continuous quality improvement, and professional development of self and others
- Enthusiastic, flexible, dedicated, team-oriented

Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care.
