Position Type:  Permanent part-time, 56 hours per fortnight. 

Salary: Remuneration package of up to $79,268 p.a. comprising salary range of $44.27 - $47.41 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 - Band 1), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

About the role
The purpose of the role is to provide clinical expertise, support, and education to nursing staff within the unit to ensure best practice and quality patient care to patients of all ages and cultural groups, recognising the importance of individuals and their families. 

Requirements for the role

  • Tertiary Qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant Qualifidation is highly regarded. 
  • Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per Townsville Hospital and Health Service Policy - Life Support Training and Assessment - THHSCL1040151v9

Other information - Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD)
Roles that have a direct contact with patients or who in the course of their work may be exposed to blood/body fluids or contaminated sharps are required to be immunised for Hepatitis B. 
Roles that have contact that would allow acquisition and/or transmission of measles, mumps, rubella, varicella or pertussis, and have face to face contact with patients and/or work in a clinical area require evidence of immunisation of the aforementioned diseases.
