Utilising your high level of Aged Care understanding and clinical expertise, you will contribute to the leadership of nurses within the Strathalbyn & District Aged Care Facility. Overseeing the provision of nursing care within the team, you will assess residents’ needs and plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery options whilst communicating changes in condition and care. This will be achieved by integrating advanced theoretical knowledge, evidence from a range of sources and your own experience to devise and achieve agreed resident care outcomes. Monitoring resident care plans, you will participate in clinical auditing and evaluative research to ensure appropriate patient care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. Supporting and working collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team, you will maintain a learning culture by encouraging professional development and assisting others to maintain portfolios of learning. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience in the coordination and leadership of nursing activities to achieve quality resident outcomes, you will have a sound understanding of ACFI requirements and Leecare software specific to aged care settings. You will possess good staff management, communication and conflict resolution skills, along with the ability to create and manage change and operate effectively within a residential aged care environment. Your prior experience in management and leadership roles will equip you to give supervision to student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses.
