The Position
St John of God Murdoch Hospital has an opportunity for an Orthopaedic Technician to join the Operating Theatre team.
This is a busy role ensuring all orthopaedic equipment and supplies are ready and available for the orthopaedic surgery team who perform a range of elective and trauma operations at Murdoch.
This position is being offered on permanent full time basis.
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive instrumentation experience essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of orthopaedic equipment and application
- Ability to work as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organise work activities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
- Relevant Qualifications – Enrolled Nurse, Anaesthetic Technician, CSSD Sterilisation Certification (desirable)
- Recent Orthopaedic surgery experience in an acute setting (desirable)
