About the Role

An exciting opportunity awaits a highly motivated individual who likes to work with autonomy while also being an integral part of a large team and a fast paced organisation. Western Health is currently recruiting to the Orthopaedic Technologist role. The recruitment profile for this position is open and the organisation is looking to hear from both experienced, fully qualified Orthopaedic Technologists and those individuals who may be interested in completing a Part Time traineeship to formally enter this interesting and dynamic profession.

As a member of the Adult Specialists Clinics team you will work closely with Western Health’s other Orthopaedic Technologists. Interfacing with nursing staff, doctors and other clinical professionals an Orthopaedic Technologist will demonstrate the ability to articulate descriptions of orthopaedic conditions based upon a basic understanding of anatomical structures and their relationship with one another. This knowledge allows them to perform a variety of tasks including the fabrication and removal of casts and splints, application of orthopaedic devices, and removal of external orthopaedic hardware.
