The Australian College of Optometry is a not-for-profit organisation providing public health eye care services to disadvantaged communities.
We are looking for two approachable and confident people to join our friendly and dedicated Reception/Dispensary team.
These roles provide front-of-house reception to patients, assist with Dispensary Services and support to Optometrists in our busy Optometry Clinics. You will be part of an experienced team in a role that is very much a group effort, with duties shared.
You will be based in our Carlton Clinic but you will be required to work from our other metropolitan clinics from time to time.
Full-time, part-time or casual will be considered depending on your availability. Our Clinic hours of 8.00 am to 5.45 pm. One position will be required to work on Saturdays.
You should have optical reception and dispensing experience and a genuine desire to work in a client/patient facing role that is about more than just good customer service. You are flexible, punctual and reliable and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A good telephone manner, sound computer and typing skills are essential. A second language may be an advantage.
