Experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Team Leader - Primary Health Nurse) required to work on a full-time basis in our facility based in Pinkenba.

 

THE ROLE

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) assists with most aspects of the operational management and functioning of the clinic and works closely and collaboratively with the Health Services Manager reporting and communicating to optimise patient care and ensure key deliverables are achieved.

To be considered you must have the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience as an Division 1 Nurse within a broad range of clinical sub-specialties including, but not limited to: primary health, mental health, remote area, emergency, public health; 
  • Extensive clinical management and leadership experience in a health care setting
  • Proven experience with clinical coordination/case management and risk assessment within the primary health care environment to a senior nurse level;
  • Proven experience in a senior nursing role providing mentorship and leadership to nursing staff
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients, management and external stakeholders
  • Basic Life Support or First Aid Certificate obtained within the last 12 months;
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records and use of MS Office programs.
  • Experience in a corrections, detention or remote nursing setting would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with drug and Alcohol dependency would be desirable
  • Full time contract working 38 hours per week primarily Monday to Friday, occasionally the Team Leader might be required to work weekends.
