For more information visit Northern NSW Local Health District What you'll be doing The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) coordinates, delivers and evaluates clinical nursing education programs at a ward level and provides clinical supervision in order to support development of evidence-based, person-centred nursing care. Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (division 1) Post graduate nursing and/or educational qualification. Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment and adult learning principles including the design, delivery and evaluation of education programs Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills including knowledge of competency assessment, decision making frameworks Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating and influence others Demonstrated commitment to excellence and evidence-based care in nursing practice, own professional development and the ability to motivate others Knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, evidence-based practice and quality improvement Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
