With continued growth as a goal we have recently been accredited as an approved provider of Community Nursing services. Hence, we are seeking suitably qualified Nurses on a casual basis with a passion for providing excellent care across various suburbs in Melbourne.

 

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed in-home care team on a casual basis while we expand our nursing services in Melbourne. You will visit elderly people in their homes to provide the vital support that enables them to maintain their independence and remain in the comfort of their own homes for longer. This is a hands on role delivering holistic care including comprehensive clinical assessments. You would provide a range of services, including but not limited to:

  • Wound care (basic to complex dressings)
  • Medications management of clients with dietary needs
  • Providing assistance with bowel and continence care
  • Respiratory management
  • Conduct initial and three-monthly client assessments 
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and liaising with multidisciplinary health care teams
  • Making referrals to allied health professionals and medical practitioners

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a community and/or Aged Care nurse
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current National Police Check issued within last 12 months with no disclosable outcomes (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hold a current Australian Driver’s License and have access to a roadworthy vehicle
  • Computer literate with a mobile smart phone and internet access
