Bupa Medical Visa Services provides health assessments in a professional, caring and respectful way. Our main service is the provision of visa and migration medical services to the Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs). This includes the provision of on-shore immigration medical examinations through Bupa centres and a network of partner centres nationally.

About the Opportunity:

The Bupa Medical Visa Services Centre Manager is responsible for leading the team and the services for the on-shore medical assessment services provided through the BMVS medical assessment centre and contracted third parties. The role is accountable for all elements of the financial, operational and clinical quality and safety of the centre. The centre is recognised for its exceptional customer experience, client outcomes and high level of clinical safety and quality.

This is a key Bupa leadership role delivering exceptional performance, ensuring Bupa is loved by customers and employees love working at Bupa. The role has 4 direct reports, and the centre is the 2nd largest BMVS centre in Australia with over 50 employees.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Managing the operations of the Sydney Bupa Medical Visa Services Centre and effective management of contracted third party service providers to perform services to required standards
  • Profit and loss accountability for the centre, whilst maximising the profit and loss outcomes, without compromising clinical safety, quality and SLAs
  • Adherence to clinical safety and quality and Home Affairs Service Level agreements.
  • Work in collaboration with your peers and direct reports to ensure service delivery outcomes are met in accordance with contractual obligations whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance, adherence to internal operating procedures together with the management of business risks, working within Bupa’s risk and compliance policies, procedures, frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that Bupa Australia’s Health and Safety policy and associated policies and procedures are effectively implemented to minimise risk and to provide employees with a safe working environment and safe systems of work.

Your Background and Ideal experience:

You will be an inspired and experienced leader in health, driven by the opportunity to work with a global leader in health care. You will have:

  • Significant proven experience leading and managing medium to large scale operating environments, with high levels of processing whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience in a clinical or allied health setting
  • Effective time management, resource planning and general operations experience to lead and drive the business strategy and planning activities
  • Industry experience in delivery of public or private health services in conjunction with contracted service level agreement
  • Business management skills including the responsibility of managing the profit and loss outcomes
  • Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, leadership driven culture and building collaborative working environments
  • Proven ability to set clearly defined objectives and measures to drive business outcomes and meet service level agreements
