Bendigo Health is the regional referral and trauma center for a region that extends from Woodend to southern NSW and is committed to delivering world class healthcare to our community.
There is emphasis on a practical, hands on approach to junior doctor training and we aim to foster excellent clinical exposure across a range of specialties.
The new Bendigo Hospital opened in January 2017 and is the largest regional hospital development in Victoria. It delivers a world-class regional hospital incorporating the latest design and technology solutions, in a tranquil and caring environment.
The new facilities include 372 inpatient beds, 72 same-day beds, 11 new operating theatres, a regional cancer center, an 80-bed integrated mental health facility, a mother-and-baby unit, a helipad and parking for 1350 vehicles.
Bendigo Health is seeking motivated staff to help the organization progress excellence in clinical care as we transition to our new exciting hospital.
This position is available to candidates with previous documented O&G experience to work in a large regional obstetrics and gynaecology service, with approximately 1200 births per year. To gain preparation for entry to a RANZCOG accredited position, this role is accredited for a DRANZCOG , with opportunities for acute obstetric, clinic participation and operating sessions, some with indirect supervision. And where rostering and hospital commitments permit, acting as a surgical assistant for VMO's operating in private practice.
At Bendigo Health a broad clinical caseload is available with excellent operating exposure and a range of consultant-led clinics are available, including antenatal, general gynaecology and family planning clinics on a weekly basis.
