Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Director Clinical Strategy & Redevelopment WSLHD will use superior leadership and management skills to coordinate and support the change implementation program for the Westmead Redevelopment project.
 
In partnership with the Director Service Redesign, the Director Clinical Strategy & Redevelopment will be responsible for the development of multidisciplinary engagement, working with project user groups and with executive and clinical sponsors to plan and implement contemporary models of care and service, in keeping with Westmead Redevelopment project aspirations.
 
The Director Clinical Strategy & Redevelopment will  assume a leadership role providing expert advice on change management matters, strategies and solutions, incorporating core functions of change management and project co-ordination.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in change management for a large and complex health organisation
  2. Demonstrated problem solving skills, adaptive leadership approach and ability to inspire, lead and motivate staff and stakeholders as well as the ability to form effective working relationships with senior clinicians, senior managers, and external partners
  3. Demonstrated capacity and willingness to engage and consult with relevant stakeholders, and to manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for both the stakeholder and organisation
  4. Extensive experience in making complex judgements in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams, meeting deadlines and prioritising multiple demands with a focus on negotiation and organisational attributes with highly developed critical thinking and decision making.
  5. Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, monitor and mitigate risks related to change management activities
  6. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, achieve objectives and deliver quality results on a range of complex projects whilst working to tight deadlines
  7. Extensive experience in making complex judgements in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams, meeting deadlines and prioritising multiple demands with a focus on negotiation and organisational attributes with highly developed critical thinking and decision making.
  8. Well-developed interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, analytical and negotiation skills.
