Located within the Bayside and Mornington Peninsula regions, Victorian Oral & Facial Surgeons is a recognised industry leader in the specialist field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The practice has enjoyed sustained growth and is set for ongoing expansion in the medium term. The role
A unique opportunity exists to join Victorian Oral & Facial Surgeons as a Health Information Manager, based in the Brighton Practice, to effectively manage and lead the performance of staff whilst providing oversight of daily practice functions. The role will continue to grow and develop as time progresses, however in its infancy the position will include:
- Planning, developing and managing clinic’s central records system including patient information
- Implementing and managing clinical and administrative data as per procedure
- Analysing the record keeping needs of the clinic and translating these needs into record management systems
- Managing and controlling access to confidential information as per medical, legal, ethical and administrative requirements of health care services
- Preserving records for administrative, legal, evidential and other relevant purposes
- Updating and maintaining computerised and manual record management systems as required
- Reviewing and monitoring of systems, processes and procedures with the ability to recognise and implement changes and improvements as necessary
- Coordinating training and appraisals for staff and practitioners and managing their rosters and leave
- Excellent reporting skills and a genuine drive to learn, grow and demonstrate initiative
About you
The successful candidate will be an experienced Health Information Manager who can confidently lead a team of clinical and admin staff. You’ll possess the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously displaying confidence in building strong relationships with staff, patients and medical professionals. Naturally focussed, you’ll enjoy delivering excellent customer service and stakeholder service. As a hands on leader, capable of managing a varied and at times busy work load, you’ll know how to keep a positive and optimistic attitude when the pressure is on. You’ll also possess sound medical knowledge and communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
In addition to working alongside some of the medical industry’s best professionals, the tole offers and attractive salary of $85,000 - $95,000 + superannuation. Occasional travel to Mornington may be required.
