ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a fixed term full time night duty position commencing immediately until 30/7/2019 (until completion of the Hydraulics project). There is the opportunity to divide EFT with successful applicants.

Reporting to the After Hours Coordinator (AHC) Mercy Hospital for Women, the Clinical Resource Nurse/ Midwife provides support across all wards and units at night for the period of the Hydraulics project.

  • Assist to coordinate in emergency situations as directed by the AHC and where demands arise of a short term nature
  • Support best practice patient care as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary hospital team,
  • Provide assistance as required to ensure timely patient flow of patients from and to Birth Suite, Theatre and the Emergency Department to wards and units
  • Effectively escalate incidents or workforce issues to the AHC
  • Demonstrate clinical excellence and support to Nursing & Midwifery staff
  • Provide meal break coverage as directed by the the AHC

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Nurse and Midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • RN with Post Graduate qualification in Midwifery, or Double Degree Nursing & Midwifery
  • Minimum  of 3 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting
