About Kalparrin
We have an exciting, permanent position at our well established and rapidly expanding Not-For-Profit organisation. We are seeking a highly personable Occupational Therapist with experience working with children with additional needs and their families, to join our multi-disciplinary team.

Job tasks and responsibilities
The primary tasks and responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing evidence-based individual and group occupational therapy services to children from birth to 12 years of age.
- Conducting a range of formal and informal occupational therapy assessments including diagnosis and treatment planning for young children
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide best practice service to children and their families
- Engage in collaborative goals setting with families, to support children's development
- Keeping accurate and appropriate records, in accordance with organisational policies and funding obligations
Areas of functional need to which you will be required to develop include:
- Fine and gross motor skill development
- Self-care skills
- Emotional and sensory regulation
- Play and social skills
The successful applicant will have:
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
- Experience working with preschool aged children
- Experience working with children with a range of disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Chromosomal Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities
- A current Working with Children's Check and police check
- A car and current Victorian driver's license
Though not a requirement of the role, applicants with aboriginal heritage will be considered advantageous to Kalparrin's expansion of its culturally sensitive services.
Candidates holding Better Access to Mental Health accreditation are highly desirable.
