About the business
Northern Clinic is an established RACGP accredited teaching general practice serving Para Hills and the surrounding communities since 1970. The practice aims to provide a local family-based service of high quality and integrity in a caring and friendly environment.
We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse casual basis with a provision of becoming Full-Time/ Part-Time Permanent. Newly graduate nurses are also welcome to apply.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced General Practice Nurse who has expertise in care plans, CDM, Immunisation, ECG , Spirometry, Medicare item codes, wound management and assisting doctors in minor surgical procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Triage and patient assessment
- Clinical patient care incl. wound care, immunisation, ear syringing, assistance with minor surgical procedures
- Diagnostic services incl. ECG, etc
- Infection control and sterilisation
- Managing recall & reminder system
- Clinical data management
- Sterilization
- Maintaining medical supplies
- Accreditation compliance
Essential Criteria:
- Hold Current AHPRA registration.
- Excellent communication skills and bedside manner.
- Able to work independently and as a team nurse in the treatment room.
- Current CPR
- Strong computer skills
- Current Police Check
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in General Practice Nursing role in a medium to large clinic
- Available to work on short notice
- Experience using Practice Management software (Pracsoft/ Medical Director software)
- A patient-centred approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
- Flexibility in availability and ability to extend hours to cover periods of leave & additional patient services
