Casual opportunity

Imagine a job where everything you did made a difference

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Personal Care Worker to join our team at Palms Aged Care Service in the delivery of services to our 50 residents. You will be a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role. In this multi-tasked care role you will be responsible for providing direct care to residents with both high and low care needs.

You will assist residents with activities of daily living in a way that maximises their independence. Your role will be varied but centred around providing quality personal care and quality improvement activities. This will include assisting residents with their mobility to and from activities including meals and supporting them to participate in activities within the facility and social outings.

You will be covering a variety of shifts (including morning, afternoon, night and weekend shifts). If you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as a rewarding role that has a positive impact on the lives of seniors, this might be the right opportunity for you.

About you

You are often praised for your compassionate nature and approachability. You will have the ability to easily establish and build rapport with people, in addition to being a naturally caring and positive individual. You are an enthusiastic reliable worker, who enjoys being a team player, yet can work autonomously.

Your experience and qualifications for this role ideally, should include:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or Certificate III in Aged Care (including the Medication Assistance skill set);
  • Current First Aid Certificate is desirable;
  • Solid demonstrated experience in Aged Care;
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7 day week, with availability at short notice;
  • Current National Police Check or ability to obtain.

Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: modelling unconditional love; behaving with integrity; and being good stewards.

Imagine working for us

Remuneration packages come complete with salary-packaging benefits that can increase your take-home pay along with a generous five weeks of annual leave and the ability to purchase more (for eligible employees). To ensure your career can grow, we are constantly exploring innovative training and development programs. Most importantly, you will help us to positively impact the lives of thousands of vulnerable Australians. Just imagine that.
