Psychologist

Full Time, Fixed Term (until December 2019)

Located in Morwell

LCHS has a fixed term vacancy (to 31 Dec 2019) for a Psychologist for the Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Program (FMHiCHP) providing assessment and treatment to those on a community corrections order (CCO) and potentially reducing the risk to the community.

The FMHiCHP will be required to provide an efficient, high quality and comprehensive service to adults 18 and over on a CCO residing in Gippsland. The FMHICHP is a comprehensive mental health and broader health evidence-informed service.

As a psychologist with the FMHiCHP you will work with adults who have a primary diagnosis of a moderate severity mental illness or disorder, are assessed as being at high/moderate risk of reoffending, and who have a court mandated condition on their CCO to undertake mental health treatment and rehabilitation.

The successful applicant will be a qualitied psychologist with endorsement in clinical psychology or forensic psychology, and AHPRA approved supervision status. Postgraduate studies in assessment and treatment with forensic populations is desirable.

Additionally, this role requires recent experience in a mental health and/or forensic health setting and a sound knowledge of the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce 2013 and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations related to the delivery of forensic mental health services.
