The Rehabilitation Team is looking for an experienced, professional and passionate Rehabilitation Consultant with a strong customer focus to work at AIA Australia for 6 months commencing August 2018. We are seeking a rehabilitation professional with strong capabilities in early intervention, occupational rehabilitation and work capacity assessments who is eager to work in the life insurance sector.
Reporting to a Rehabilitation Team Leader, you will be assessing, implementing and monitoring early intervention and return to work (RTW) programs, Total and Permanent Disability assessments, and supporting the claims team to implement effective strategies to assist with return to work. You will also work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of a range of rehabilitation initiatives.
This role is based in Melbourne and may require occasional interstate travel to Sydney and Brisbane.
To be considered for this 6 month contract opportunity, you will have demonstrated clinical and occupational rehabilitation experience and worked as a rehabilitation provider across insurance settings including workers compensation, motor vehicle and life insurance. You will possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and your ability to be a team player will see you excel. Strong time management, decision making and problem solving skills are essential. Ability to implement proactive and results focussed strategies, train and develop others and interpret policy, medical and occupational information are foundations. You will be a subject matter expert in Early Intervention, Occupational Rehabilitation and Employability.
Background in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Registered Nurse, Allied Health will be required.
