Pre-hospital and Retrieval Registrars - NT

CareFlight is an aero-medical organisation with over 30 years’ experience providing pre-hospital care to critically ill and injured patients. We currently attend to over 5,000 missions a year. We are ready to respond 24/7, to a diverse range of missions, both domestic and international, including pre-hospital trauma, primary medical management in isolated clinics, and the retrieval and transfer of intensive care patients. Your transport might be by helicopter one day, then road ambulance or fixed wing aircraft the next. This is an ever changing and exciting job!

We offer six or 12 month terms for registrars in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care or Emergency Medicine. Previous retrieval experience is not required as our comprehensive induction and ongoing training program will teach you all you need to know.

We’ll take the hassle out of coming to Australia by assisting you with your visa, college accreditation and Australian medical registration needs.

The roles

Based in Darwin, your role will involve low and high acuity transfers within Australia, off-shore and internationally. Many transfers are from remote Aboriginal communities and areas including the world famous Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land.

If you decide to spend twelve months with us, we can broaden your horizons by providing you with a six month rotation at each base (NT/NSW).
