The Position
Eastern Melbourne PHN (EMPHN) currently has three exciting opportunities to join our Mental Health & AOD team in implementing a person centered and integrated approach to delivery of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services.
Project Manager (1 position)
The Project Manager will focus on a range of key initiatives within the team;
- Regional Integrated Mental Health;
- AOD & Suicide Prevention Plan;
- AOD Model of Care co-design and implementation and
- General Practice, mental health and AOD integration.
Applying redesign methodology to facilitate and deliver complex system redesign and service transition within the mental health and AOD sector within our catchment, this position will manage and implement all aspects of the assigned projects. This will include identifying scope of the projects, developing and implementing project work plans ensuring that agreed timelines and strategic goals are met. In addition the Project Manager will identify, engage and partner with external stakeholders, including consumers. This is an exceptional opportunity to have a real impact on the mental health and ADO sectors.
Program Officers (2 positions)
The Program Officers will work closely with key stakeholders to support the enhanced delivery of our programs. Working as part of the Mental Health and AOD team, the successful applicants will work to align initiatives with the new mental health stepped care model and AOD sector redesign. You will identify system improvement opportunities and assist with designing an effective program response in collaboration with service providers. This is an exciting role for anyone who loves change and is wanting to make a direct impact on the provision of mental health and AOD services.
The people we are looking for
The successful applicants will have:
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of organisations;
- A demonstrated commitment to the promotion of high quality Recovery Orientated service provision;
- Interest in health system reform including commissioning, procurement processes and contract management; and
- Demonstrated understanding of medical and psychosocial models of health.

EMPHN is one of the major commissioners of federally-funded health care services in Melbourne, with responsibility for improving the primary health care system. We do this by facilitating health system improvements for people in the eastern and north eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
