One Central Health is a leading provider of evidence-based intervention for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental delays. We have two clinics in Perth – one in Tuart Hill, the other in South Lake.
We are looking for…
An experienced Behaviour (ABA) Therapist to join our team. We have an expanding case load and require someone to join our team who shares our passion for helping children with ASD. The successful applicant will be required to work across both of our Perth sites.
About the role...
The role of the Behaviour Therapist is to implement high quality applied behaviour analysis (ABA) sessions at our clinics based on One Central Health’s model of service provision. This includes both structured and naturalistic teaching, collecting, recording and graphing all data as advised by our team of therapists (Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists) and implementing any Behaviour Intervention Plans.
The role is initially part-time with the view to being a full-time role.
A BCBA qualification is preferred but not essential.
Applications should…
- Have substantial experience in using the principles of ABA including discrete trial teaching.
- Have the ability to change styles based on individual student profiles and the ability to remain calm in the face of challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrate an ability to relate and play in an appropriate manner with children including being engaging and fun.
- Show an ability to develop and maintain a positive and objective relationship with a child's family.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues and families.
Successful candidates will be required to have a Working with Children Check and a satisfactory Police Clearance.
