Where you will be working
At Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) we provide a range of public health services to the Riverina and Murray regions of New South Wales across a geographic area of approximately 125,631 square kilometres. With around 241,000 residents living within our District we employ approximately 3,500 staff who work in our 31 facilities and support services. Our facilities include a Rural Referral Hospital, Base and District Hospitals, Multi-Purpose Services and Community Health Facilities.
What you will be doing
The Manager Cancer Services and Innovation (MCSI) provides critical clinical, strategic and change leadership and stakeholder engagement across MLHD. The role will develop and implement strategies that deliver coordinated, high quality care and services to people living with cancer in MLHD.
The Cancer Institute NSW (CINSW) contributes funding for this role to provide strategic leadership and direction for system change to improve cancer performance consistent with priorities and strategic direction of the NSW Cancer Plan 2016-2021.
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Health Service Management and/or extensive relevant experience within a health care setting.
- Proven experience as a change leader capable of developing innovation and affecting change at a senior level.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to engage and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders and produce strategic planning documents and comprehensive analytical reports.
