An opportunity has become available for 2 part time (19 hours per week) permanent Hospital Scientists to join the team at our Laboratory based in Knox Private hospital in Wantirna. In this role you will conduct a range of diagnostic testing that require the application of scientific technical knowledge and skills.
This positions involve working in a fast paced environment and will be suitable for individuals who pride themselves in the level of accuracy in their work. The successful applicants will have previous clinical laboratory experience in a multi-disciplined role including haematology, biochemistry and microbiology.
To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:
- Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a multidisciplinary pathology laboratory
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of standards of practice relevant to position
- Able to work effectively and harmoniously within a team
- Ability to lead constructively and mentor
- Ability to solve problems, or seek help from appropriate resources
- Able to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services
- Commitment to personal ongoing education and professional development
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and associated regulations for a laboratory
