Your role:
Reporting to the Haemophilia and Orphan Drug Lead, the Rare Diseases Operations Manager (RDOM) is responsible for the management of Rare Disease government contracts, the delivery of tender submissions and contributing to the strategic direction of the Rare Disease Tenders and Contracting Business.
The primary objective of the RDOM is service delivery and execution against contract KPIs.
Typically, the RDOM will:
- Manage and execute upon key Rare Disease tenders and contracts ranging from contract negotiation to management and key reporting responsibilities
- Help shape RD tender environment through enhanced tender strategy and execution
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and communication channels with both external and internal stakeholders such as government agencies, TPL providers, sales, marketing and internal cross functional teams
- Lead and implement change management and continuous improvement projects that result in greater efficiencies, improved service levels and improved adherence to contractual KPI’s
- Work closely with Supply and Trade Operations to ensure contract obligations are met
- Work closely with delivery partner to enhance delivery service and drive adherence to contract KPI’s
- Proactively identify and implement supply chain efficiencies and innovation that results in reduced cost, and or increased service levels
- Indirectly lead, educate and develop Haemophilia Trade Operations team to drive a culture of ownership and accountability
In addition, the RDOM will also work closely with the Regional Health and Value team and other Pfizer stakeholders to leverage and cross-pollinate best practice sharing across the International Developed Markets (IDM) Region.
Who you are:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in tender management/contract management and/or supply chain and distribution
- University Degree – Bachelor of Science or Business, Supply Chain Management preferred (but not required)
- Excellent ability to analyse, synthesize and articulate information in a concise manner in order to make recommendations on strategies to resolve complex tasks
- Superior customer management skills
- Superior attention to detail, working with a customer and KPIs that demand a near zero failure rate
- Ability to understand and influence in a highly matrixed environment
- Ability to establish a network of key stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong project management, organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and execute on plans
- Strong problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally as required
- Fluency in English language
