Craigie Day Surgery is a part of the expanding Day Surgery and Specialists business unit which is governed by a clinical support team based in our Head Office in NSW. The day surgery is situated 21km north of the city of Perth in the suburb of Craigie.
  
The Role:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the operational management of the Day Surgery. This includes building and maintaining a team of approximately 20 staff when fully operational, providing support and ensuring a high standard of patient care.

With two new operating theatres, we will offer a variety of surgical specialties including fertility services, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and gynaecology.

Your responsibilities include the provision of support and professional development for all staff, budget management, equipment maintenance and ensuring State licensing and accreditation compliance.  This role will give you the opportunity to showcase your flair for people management through building and maintaining relationships.  The position would suit a current Director of Nursing/Clinical Nurse OR Manager of a small private facility or an OR manager from the private or public sector who is ready for the next challenge.

Essential:

• Current AHPRA registration
• A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in Peri-operative nursing
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Unit Manager position
• Enthusiastic and dynamic Registered Nurse with managerial and leadership skills
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Post Graduate Qualifications would be beneficial
• Knowledge of NSQHS accreditation
